Whenever I think about the future, there is one word that I think of hope. Hope for goodness and love. Hope for happiness and passion. No doubt thinking about future is something big and almost everyone hopes for a beautiful and bright future. Twenty years is a long time from now but I can see myself doing huge number of things different from now. Good profession, husband, children these are the things with which I see myself. I know finding a husband and having children sounds something weird but this is the reality I guess because twenty years is not a short period. In these long years I would like to achieve my goals, get settled and make my parents proud. I will have a close relationship with my family and friends. In these twenty years I’ll be living a life that will be perfect for me. I will be going for a world tour with my family so that we all can spend much more of our time together and build memories. I’d surely try to develop some more new skills so that I just don’t regret later on. In these 20 years I see myself at a place where I earn respect and money. I will surely not sit at my place being a housewife but would financially support my husband so that this burden is equally divided between both of us. I wish to have my own house, car and live a luxurious and comfortable life. Side by side I even see myself involved in various social activities where I can play my part by being a responsible and sensitive member of the society. I’ll surely make efforts to make people surrounding me happy. I’ll be the same as I am today crazy, fun loving, confident and would try not to change good aspects of my character for some other person. In the end I see myself living a happy life where I live happily and keep on spreading happiness all over.

Unfolded Stories of Air hostesses!
When I came to Mumbai I was all surrounded by Cabin Crew (Air hostess).
The society in which I resided was half occupied by these beautiful girls. As
my PG was quiet near to the airport most of these crew members owned a room in
my society. And being lucky enough I had two of the crew as my roommates. The
happening life of these girls always grabbed my attention. I always admired
them, the way they dressed from their make up to their uniform, the way they
were all time concerned about their passengers created a space in my heart for
this very profession. But until and unless I came across the truth of this
glittering reality which even you guys must be shocked of reading. And I’d like
to mention that, these shocking things were revealed by one of my roommate who
was an air hostess, which I thought of sharing with you all. Initially it all
starts with their harsh training period almost of 12 hrs in which they are
taught of safety, emergency, procedures, grooming, presentation and so forth.
After the training procedure these Cabin crew are appointed individually in
their first flight to manage in each and every task involved in successful operation
of managing the passengers. And you all might feel that these cabin crews have
only got to apply a huge layer of makeup and stand to greet the people but guys
it’s not like this! Apart from all this these people have got a lot more things
to do. They need to attend the unwanted frustrating demands of their passengers
and they try to fulfill it to the best of their ability. And people carry a myth
inside their minds that just being tall, fair and beautiful is all enough to
become a successful air hostess. But that’s not the case my friends they have
got to prepare themselves physically, mentally and intellectually strong to
make the journey of their passengers more safe and comfortable. They are safety
and first aid professionals. The physical hard work they do is not noticed. The
doors of the aircraft and the carts used to serve guests on board are way
heavier. The door itself is of around 10-15 kg. A crew is trained and licensed
to perform all these duties on flight. Not all are able to take the pressure of
these studies and training. There are few who give up in between or there are
who manage to clear the training but are not able to handle the work pressure
or work conditions and quit due to health issues.
The recent news of an aircraft of
Emirates Airlines which had a crash landing in Dubai is a fresh example for all
of us to understand the importance of a crew on a flight. Without the help of this efficient
crew, saving 300+ passengers on board was not possible. The evacuation was done
within 90 seconds. These 90 seconds is the maximum time given to a crew to
evacuate passengers safely from the aircraft. A normal girl/boy like you and me
can just download a song in these 90 seconds!!
They do have to maintain a healthy
interaction with their co-crew members, but apart from these negative points
there are few positive aspects of being a cabin crew that they do get to
explore and interact with people from different culture and from different
parts of the world.
Complimentary come the luxurious life they live. So, it might be now clear
to you that whatsoever tough and harsh life these crew members have but still
their spirit to live and serve never ends. As it is correctly said “all that glitters is not gold” and yes, all people are created equal but
only the finest become flight attendants.
What was our first experience?
College life… Ahh how amazing those
days were! Whenever I am asked to share my experience on how my College life
was, the very first thing that strikes my mind is my First Day in College. The
duration between completion of school and starting up of college life is
entirely filled with excitement, thrills and expectations. How the college
campus would look like? How would be the Head of Department and Professors? And
the most important question inside the mind of a fresher is regarding their
fellow classmates and seniors? These are the most important queries that are
their inside the mind of a fresher. Even I carried these similar questions with
me and with a bag filled with excitement and confidence I entered the gate of Makhanlal
Chaturvedi National University of Communication and Journalism. The
campus almost appeared like an office building and here my first expectation
regarding the beautiful college campus was all shattered. But I had to accept
this harsh reality of my life as this office building would be a second home to
me for three consecutive years. With utmost courage I marched ahead thereby enquiring
about the Mass Communication Department which would be my identity from now
onwards. My department was there on the third floor; luckily we had lift that
was in a working condition to take us to our opted floors. There I saw my
department’s name mentioned in golden block letter “Mass Communication Department” with my head held high I entered
the department and went ahead towards my class room BA (MC) 1ST Semester.
I entered the class room with a big smile on my face as if I was the happiest
person on this planet, there I saw only four people who were there on time on
the very first day. From school days
itself we were taught to be punctual and were strictly told to be on time.
Therefore me being an obedient girl entered the class room on time and was
shocked to see only four girls occupying the first two seats of the class.
Where were the rest 28 people of our class? This was the question that popped
up in my mind. But still without making further delays I occupied my seat and
we introduced ourselves to one another. Then slowly one by one students of our
class came up and even they introduced themselves to us and we all had a
healthy interaction. Meanwhile, during the interaction I and my new friend
Ayushi Sharma started discussing about each other and indeed, she was my first
friend of this new college. Then all our professors came and briefed about the
subject they would teach us. 1st July being the first day of our
college class our professors was not that keen to teach us on the very first
day so just by taking our introduction they left us. We were all happy as we
got time to explore our not so big college campus. As all of us were heading
towards the canteen or seniors came and
told us to be seated in the class room
as they would come up to take our introduction. That was pretty exciting. I was
all confident enough to introduce myself to my seniors and fellow mates. Like
others, even I was not sure whether this introduction would just be asking of
names and hobbies or would turn out into a ragging. Until and unless my seniors
came to my class I was throughout struggling with this unsolved question. We
had a very healthy interaction with our seniors. They were all very nice to us.
Throughout these three years whether it be our classmates, the teachers and the
seniors all stood together like a family. On a regular basis we had many events
which helped in the overall development of our personality. Pratibha a cultural fest was organized
every year to encourage and motivate the students to come ahead and show their
hidden talents. All the students actively participated in this college fest.
Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers Day etc was celebrated with full pomp
and show in our campus itself. These three years of mine was full of great
experiences from making good friends to scoring good marks in the class everything
made me a confident person. I have learned a lot in these three years of
graduation, from being independent to deal with all possible hitches of our
daily life. Now as I am out from my university I miss those beautiful days
where I lived my life without any stress and tension. I wish I could turn those
pages of my life back and relive those beautiful times again.
What if I was a bird?
What if I was a bird?
Random
thoughts strike my mind often and this time the thought that came to my mind
was of being a bird. This left me thinking..! What if I were a bird? What will
I do? What bird I would want to become? Isn’t this sounding amazing..! If ever
I was given a chance to relive my life as an animal I would surely want to
become a bird. I do have many reasons to justify this thought of mine. The life
of a bird if completely filled with adventure and excitement. How they fly high
with utmost freedom without any fear of falling and continuously strive hard to
reach their destination. They do have a hard life as well but what they know is
to move ahead inspite of all the hardships that this cruel world gives them.
They don’t have any feelings of revenge and hatred, all they know is to love
and just touch the sky at its best. We just don’t know what a bird goes
through, the tough times to safeguard itself from the hot sun, chilling
winters, and cruel hunters. What bird I would want to become? Yes, the answer
to this question would be “Nightingale”.
Nightingale
is almost synonym to Melody. The
beautiful pleasant voice of nightingale has always caught my attention. If I
would be a bird I would surely choose to become nightingale. Beautiful by
voice, beautiful by heart and soul. Positivity is something which it keeps on
spreading. In a world of hatred and anger this bird still dares to hope. Hope
for happiness and peacefulness. Although life is difficult but still grass
would surely appear greener on the other side. Only a person who lives a life
like this can explain its feelings openly. Now I think I’m surely happier being
a human being.
